How it Started
Blue Note Botanicals wasn't planned. It started with my daughter.
She was struggling with acne, and I wanted something simple and gentle. Not another product loaded with harsh chemicals and a mile-long ingredient list. So I researched natural solutions and made my first batch of activated charcoal soap. It worked better than I expected. Her skin cleared.
My son, a student athlete, had the same problem. Breakouts from sweat and gym equipment. He tried the soap. Same result. He started sharing it with his teammates, and their skin improved too.
From there, family and friends began asking me to make soaps and salves for their own skin concerns. What started as a mom trying to help her kids quietly became something more.
A Little About Me
I'm a Masters-prepared Registered Nurse. Care has always been at the center of what I do — professionally and personally.
Making things on the side was never part of a grand plan. It just felt natural to create products that were purposeful and actually worked. When my daughter's school hosted a community market, she asked me to sell my soaps and salves there. I said yes, not expecting much.
The response surprised me. People connected with the products, but also with the story behind them. That's when I realized this was worth sharing more widely.
Why "Blue Note"?
In jazz, a blue note is a subtle, intentional shift in pitch — a small deviation that transforms an ordinary melody into something soulful and memorable.
That's the philosophy behind every Blue Note Botanicals formula.
It's not about dramatic overhauls or miracle claims. It's about the small, purposeful choices: a carefully sourced herb, a precise ratio, an extra step in the process that quietly elevates what lands on your skin.
